Burn a Corpse, Save a Tree
Categories: Commercial Building

What is East Sussex up to? They plan to turn a crematorium into a power plant. Hastings Crematorium will have a £800,000 system installed that would convert the waste heat from filtering devices into reusable heat or electricity.

So you see, it is not as grim as it initially looked. There will be no such thing as corpse energy.

The thing that worries me is the cost of the system. It will take quite a few years to recoup the investment. There have been discussions regarding similar systems across the Europe. It is likely that encouraged by Brits, the continent will soon follow.
