Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek, who is more famous for his nonconformist furniture and interior designs, has also tried his hand at architecture. You might have seen it before but I bet you haven’t checked his furniture, so scroll on!

This log house, that looks like a stack of timber, was made for musician Hans Liberg, who wanted to have a cosy little study in his field where he could escape the noise and buzz and concentrate on his music.

This project has been conceived in Hilversum, The Netherlands, but actually it can be now anywhere in the world as we speak. This log house is mobile, it can be put on wheels and moved. The windows are very cleverly made.

At the first glance it looks like there are no windows at all. I gather that Piet Hein Eek has made several tree-trunk garden houses and one of them can be seen at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.

His furniture is even more radical. This “Enormous Arm Chair” is made of… well, cargo box boards. Sounds crazy but you cannot deny it is an amazing piece of art.

Do you find parquet floors boring? Not any more. This flooring continues into a sideboard and echoes on the table top as well. If you dare to step there, you’ll get your head spinning.
